St Fidelis Catholic Primary School - Parish Education Board

Vision and Role

The School Advisory Council is a forum for discussion of matters concerning holistic education within the school. It brings together the Parish Priest, Principal, Deputy Principal, parent representative, Parents and Friends representative and teachers from the school in the spirit of cooperation so that responsible and informed advice can be given to the Parish Priest and Principal. Through membership on the School Advisory Council, each member assumes an important leadership role in the ministry of the school.

The School Advisory Council works to:

  • support the school in its role of developing the students’ spiritual, intellectual, emotional physical and social capabilities and capacities
  • provide advice to assist the school to pursue excellence in all areas of school life including development of Catholic faith, academic dimension, student wellbeing and community relationships
  • ensure that all members feel supported, valued and encouraged to participate in the life of the school.
